Pastor Marquaello A. Futrell, Sr.

Pastor Marquaello A. Futrell, Sr. is a native of St. Louis, Missouri.  He was saved and filled with the Holy Ghost at an early age under the late National Evangelist W. B. Laird.  He later served under Pastor Leon Stewart.  In 2005 he was ordained and licensed as a minister of the Gospel, then as an Elder, under the leadership of Bishop R. J. Ward, Jurisdictional Prelate, Missouri Eastern First Jurisdiction.

Pastor Futrell is 3rd generation Church of God in Christ on his Father’s side and 5th generation Church of God in Christ on his mother’s side. His grandfather, the late Willie Tompkins pastored Robertsville Church of God in Christ under the late Bishop W. E. Turner while his grandmother, the late Missionary Christina Tompkins served as Bishop’s financial secretary. On his mother’s side, his heritage comes through the late Pastor William “Papa Mack” Futrell of Southeast Missouri.

Pastor Futrell’s extraordinary educational history includes attending the Oral Roberts University with a double major course of study in Pastoral Care/Counseling and Elementary Education from August, 1998 through November, 2001.  He continued his extraordinary educational path at Webster University, where has satisfied the requirements to obtain a Bachelor of Science degree by earning 134 credit hours.  Once Pastor Futrell completes his two capstone classes, he will officially obtain his BA in History and Political Science, and will go on to continue in the dual degree program in pursuit of his MA degree. He also attended the St. Louis Police Academy from November 2001 to June 2002, he became a patrolman with the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department where he was later clustered to the promotional process to become Sergeant. During his time with the police department he received numerous awards, citations and commendations regarding his position from his superiors.

Following the leading of the LORD, he resigned to go into full time ministry.

Pastor Futrell is a family man.  He knows that his greatest and favorite titles will always be a loving husband and father. He is married to his best friend, Evangelist Missionary Kanesha Futrell. Together they love and support their 5 children in their academic and athletic activities. Their 17-year-old daughter has recently accepted her call to ministry and is the newest aspiring missionary in the W. B. Laird District. He and his wife are entrepreneurs of two highly successful beauty salons in St. Louis County, Mo.

Pastor Futrell and his wife, Evangelist Missionary Kanesha Futrell, founded and established All Creation Family Church of God in Christ in August 2009.  He answered the Lord’s call into full time ministry in November 2009. After his appointment as Pastor of Northview Holiness Temple Family Complex Church of God in Christ, Pastor Futrell successfully merged both churches in July 2010 instead of pastoring both churches in two locations.  Pastor Futrell is now the Senior Pastor of All Creation Northview Holiness Family Church of God in Christ, Ferguson, MO, where the Spirit of the Lord is present in all services to save, heal, and deliver.

Pastor Futrell’s national appointments include:

  • Serving as part of the executive staff to the International Sunday School Department (ISSD)
  • The A.I.M. Convention and Holy Convocation Planning Co-Chairman for ISSD
  • Team Leader for the International Evangelism Department (IDOE) – Discipleship and Follow-up
  • IDOE AIM Convention Workshop Instructor

In addition to the above appointments, his EMFJ appointments include:

  • Appointed Jurisdictional Vice President of Public Relations in 2009
  • Chief of Security/Sergeant-at-Arms in 2004
  • Superintendent of Sunday School Department 2011-2015
  • Founded and Appointed District Superintendent of Willie B. Laird District in April, 2015
  • Appointed the Administrative Assistant to Bishop R. J. Ward in October, 2015
  • Secretary, Board of Superintendents 2015
  • Vice Chair, AIM Convention 2014

Pastor Futrell is an anointed preacher and a prolific teacher of the truths of God’s Word. He walks in the Apostolic and Prophetic offices, laboring in prayer with souls that need to be saved, healed, and delivered. Pastor Futrell successfully mentored and helped financially three Elders from his local church as they answered the call to begin Pastoring.  He loves people, is a giver, is hospitable, a praiser, and a huge supporter of women in ministry.

Pastor Futrell is a community-minded leader and has ministered throughout the Saint Louis Region.  He currently serves on The Living Word Christian School (LWCS – MO) Parent Teacher Committee (PTC). Pastor Futrell also annually sponsors LWCS-MO football feeder program with football scholarships. He also serves on the local chapter of the national Back Pack Buddy program; where he deliveries food and donates money and groceries to at need public school students. Pastor Futrell serves as a partner and host to Joan Gieson’s Ministries of Love annual Christmas dinner and give away which feeds over 50,000 families within the St. Louis Region. Pastor Futrell is a chaplain for the St. Charles County (MO) Council.

Pastor Futrell is very innovative in technology and has been pivotal in revolutionizing his local church communications and presentations.  He is the Founder and President of Destined to Win Ministries a non-for profit 501c3 organization (D2W).  Destined to Win Ministries organizes annual conferences, community days, and the annual summer Camp Destiny that provides food service through the COGIC Urban Initiatives USDA food program. All local church services can be viewed via the Internet; as well through the “Destined to Win” ministry radio broadcast heard weekdays at 4:00 p. m. on KXEN 1010 AM, St. Louis, Mo.
